2026 Specialty Merit Badge Resident Camp

This year at Seven Mountains Scout Camp, we decided to change up our Resident Camp offerings for one week by offering a Specialty Merit Badge Camp for scouts of all levels who are looking for a unique Summer Camp experience.  The Alternative Camp Program is designed to offer a series of merit badges not normally provided in the standard resident camp program.  Instruction will be offered by subject matter experts in a small group setting at Seven Mountains Scout Camp or at off camp sites that provide unique support to the merit badge requirements.

Merit Badges are intended to be completed individually by scouts in a provisional scout setting.  Units may wish to sign up multiple scouts to participate but are not required to register as a troop.  Individual merit badge classes will be held each day with certain classes requiring two days to complete.  Scouts will be asked to bring any pre-requisite work to camp to present to the instructor.

When do I need to arrive and depart?

Just like traditional resident camp, arrival will be on Sunday afternoon to get situated into camp.  Merit Badge programs will run from Monday morning through Thursday evening.  Departure from camp will be on Thursday evening following dinner.  Scouts will arrive and depart from the main parking lot as you come into camp.
